About the Instructor

Holly Heider Chapple founded her wedding and event floral design business, Holly Heider Chapple Flowers, LTD, 26 years ago which offered her an opportunity to work from home while she raised her children. Her love and passion for floral design and family would lead her on an unparalleled journey through the floral design industry and would eventually result in her being dubbed the "Flower Mama". Holly is known for her highly-textural full and lush floral designs which she provides to weddings and events in the Washington DC market. As a result of Holly’s involvement in social media and the popularity of her once active blog, The Full Bouquet, the Holly Heider Chapple Flowers brand continued to blossom and gain national recognition.

In 2010, Holly founded The Chapel Designers, an international collective of wedding and event floral designers. The organization educates, supports and mentors creatives while encouraging the authenticity of each designer. Based on Holly’s ability to deal with a large family, nurturing and supporting these designers was a natural love for her. To encourage and educate these designers Holly hosts annual conferences and workshops in various markets and at her farm, Hope Flower Farm, in Waterford, Virginia. The Chapel Designers gather to tour flower markets, have creative & business workshops, and most importantly to collaborate and share new inspiration with each other. These relationships have become invaluable to each of the Chapel Designers as both strong industry relationships and close friendships have been born. Throughout the year the group stays connected through a forum that is built to support one another and the group has also committed to a new standard of excellence when it comes to expanding horizons and setting industry standards in wedding and event design.

Look for exciting new conferences and workshops as the Chapel Designer group continues to grow. In recent years, Holly and Evan have developed extensive cutting gardens on their Virginia property Hope Flower Farm. Holly enjoys drawing inspiration from the cutting gardens and including locally grown flowers in her work. In addition Holly has become a sought after teacher as a result of the game-changing design mechanics she develops while executing trend setting events. She travels the world teaching on a regular basis for Chapel Designers workshops as well as at some of the most prestigious flower schools in the world. Holly and her husband Evan celebrate 30 years of marriage this January and are the proud parents of seven wonderful children ranging in age from 10 to 32.
